Job Overview

This multifaceted role supports the Sales, Service, and Operation teams as needed for growth and sustainability of the company. It is vital that this person interacts with others effectively by utilizing good communication skills, cooperating, and collaborating purposefully, and providing information and guidance as needed to achieve the business goals of the agency.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Provides technical support to the sales team; specifically in analyzing client needs, coverage forms, and quotations.
• Completes applications in coordination with the sales team; submits applications to eligible and appropriate carriers; follow up to ensure timely receipt of quotations and policies.
• Orders and issues binders, certificates, policies, endorsements, and other related items; verify accuracy and communicate with clients appropriately.
• Prepares summaries of insurance, schedules, premium comparisons, and proposals as needed.
• Processes renewals in coordination with the sales team and according to agency procedures.
• Manage incoming email and phone requests, responding promptly and appropriately.
• Analyzes reasons for cancellation requests; acts in conjunction with sales team to save accounts as appropriate.
• Identifies exposure to loss and recommends appropriate coverages in coordination with sales team.
• Identifies cross sell and organic book growth opportunities.
• Sets priorities and manages workflow to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities.
• Maintains a cordial and effective relationship with clients, coworkers, carriers, vendors, and other business contacts.
• Vast market knowledge, product, and rate knowledge, and well trained in all quoting platforms.
• Keeps informed regarding industry information, new product information, legislation, coverages, and technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance.
• Interacts with others effectively by utilizing good communication skills, cooperating, and collaborating purposefully, and providing information and guidance as needed to achieve the business goals of the agency.
  
  

Skills And Qualifications

• High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of products and Applied EPIC, preferred.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing with others to explain complex issues, receive and interpret complex information, and respond appropriately.
• Must have an active Texas General Lines – Property and Casualty Insurance License.
• 4 years of industry experience, preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of insurance products and usages.
• Advanced knowledge of insurance markets and reference to markets.
• Advanced knowledge of insurance rating and underwriting procedures. Ability to carry out complex tasks with many concrete and abstract variables.
• Highly proficient typing skills required.
• Familiarity with and ability to adapt to new software programs for job responsibilities.
• Accepts and handles any duties/prospects assigned by agency management.
