Job Overview
This multifaceted role supports the Sales, Service, and Operation teams as needed for growth and sustainability of the company. It is vital that this person interacts with others effectively by utilizing good communication skills, cooperating, and collaborating purposefully, and providing information and guidance as needed to achieve the business goals of the agency.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide technical support to the sales team; specifically in analyzing client needs, coverage forms, and quotations.
- Complete applications in coordination with the sales team; submit applications to eligible and appropriate carriers; follow up to ensure timely receipt of quotations and policies.
- Order and issue binders, policies, endorsements, and other related items; verify accuracy and communicate with clients appropriately.
- Prepare summaries of insurance, schedules, premium comparisons, and proposals as needed.
- Process renewals in coordination with the sales team and according to agency procedures
- Manage incoming email and phone requests, responding promptly and appropriately.
- Analyz reasons for cancellation requests; acts in conjunction with sales team to save accounts as appropriate
- Identify exposure to loss and recommends appropriate coverages in coordination with sales team.
- Identify cross sell and organic book growth opportunities.
- Set priorities and manage workflow to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities.
- Maintain a cordial and effective relationship with clients, coworkers, carriers, vendors, and other business contacts.
- Vast market knowledge, product, and rate knowledge, and well trained in all quoting platforms.
- Keep informed regarding industry information, new product information, legislation, coverages, and technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance.
