Job Summary
The Driver Training Specialist at Core-Mark is responsible for designing and delivering training programs that equip drivers with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
This includes developing and implementing training curricula, conducting training sessions, and evaluating driver performance to identify areas for improvement.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transportation logistics and a proven track record of success in training and developing others.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement training curricula for drivers on all aspects of the delivery driver job duties
- Conduct training sessions and evaluate driver performance to identify areas for improvement
- Work closely with new driver hires and experienced drivers in classroom and/or field settings to prepare them for a successful professional driver career
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with company objectives and goals
Requirements
- Valid CDL A license
- 2-4 years of transportation delivery driver experience specifically in the foodservice industry
- In-depth knowledge of DOT regulations
- Working knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies and practices
- Computerized fleet operations management systems knowledge
