What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Coordinator position at Core-Mark?
Core-Mark, a leading distributor in the convenience retail industry, is seeking a skilled Truck Driver Class A to join our team. As a vital part of our distribution network, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of food and related products to customers across the country.
The successful candidate will have a valid CDL-A license and be able to lift and maneuver heavy product cases/freight throughout their shift. They will also possess excellent communication skills, as they will interact with customers on a daily basis and provide exceptional customer service.
In this role, you will operate a tractor trailer or straight truck on local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight routes, adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety standards. You will inspect your vehicle and trailer before each trip, ensuring that they are properly loaded and secured, and complete all necessary paperwork accurately and efficiently.
Beyond the day-to-day responsibilities, you will be expected to maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the loading dock area and trailers. This includes unloading equipment, materials, and removing trash as required. At the end of each shift, you will secure all equipment and complete any outstanding paperwork.
