POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Program Manager – Industrial Athletic Trainer is responsible for overseeing the delivery and quality of athletic training services within industrial or occupational settings. This position creates and manages the onsite industrial athletic training program, ensures compliance with clinical and safety standards, and drives client satisfaction. The Program Manager collaborates closely with client leadership, internal managers, and field staff to deliver preventive care, injury triage, ergonomic assessments, and employee wellness programs to the client.
DUTIES:
- Develop and maintain program documentation, reports, and SOPs in accordance with company and industry standards.
- Ensure consistency in delivery of care, including injury prevention, early intervention, functional assessments, job hazard analysis evaluations, and ergonomic support.
- Oversee the integrity, timeliness, and consistency of all documentation related to care delivery, including injury logs, daily treatment notes, OSHA 300 reporting inputs, ergonomic evaluations, and wellness interventions. Ensure all documentation complies with HIPAA, OSHA, and company standards.
- Act as the primary liaison between the client and the medical provider, ensuring strong communication, customer satisfaction, and alignment of services with client objectives.
- Oversee scheduling, timekeeping, performance evaluations, and continuing education for assigned AT staff.
- Collaborate with internal departments including HR, Staffing, Business Development, and Billing to support the seamless delivery of services.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices, OSHA regulations, and credentialing requirements related to occupational health and athletic training.
- Maintain patient confidentiality by not releasing the patient’s condition or interactions to anyone outside of approved personnel.
- Adhere to all CORE, LLC policies and procedures, and departmental Quality Assurance procedures.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current BOC certification as an Athletic Trainer (ATC)
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in applicable state(s)
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites as needed
- Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification
- This position is considered a safety sensitive position. A drug screen with breath alcohol test and, possibly, a Fit for Duty Exam will be required prior to employment.
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Athletic Training or a related field is required.
Experience:
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in industrial/occupational health, sports medicine, or clinical athletic training is required.
- One (1) year of leadership or management experience is required.
- Proficiency with data reporting platforms or EMR systems is required.
- Experience with ergonomic assessments, job task analysis, or early intervention programs in industrial settings is preferred.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification is preferred.
