Core and Saw, LLC is a leading construction services provider specializing in concrete cutting, core drilling, and utility locating. Our Texas branch is expanding, and we are seeking a motivated and experienced Utility Locating and GPR Scanning Technician to join our dynamic team.
Job Description:
As a Utility Locating and GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) Scanning Technician, you will be responsible for identifying, marking, and mapping underground utilities using specialized locating and scanning equipment. Your role is crucial in ensuring safety and accuracy on construction sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform utility locating using electromagnetic locators and GPR technology.
- Accurately mark and document underground utilities.
- Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and clients to interpret job requirements.
- Conduct pre- and post-scan documentation using appropriate software.
- Maintain and calibrate locating and scanning equipment.
- Follow safety protocols and company procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
- Provide detailed reports and recommendations based on findings.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in utility locating or GPR scanning.
- Knowledge of electromagnetic locating equipment and GPR technology.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and utility maps.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
