What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager position at Core Technology Solutions?
Our client is seeking Sr. IT Project Manager to manage multiple infrastructure, cloud-based and information security projects.
**Position is located in Columbia SC and candidate must be able to work onsite in the Columbia office at least one day a week. Must be local to Columbia SC or within a comfortable commuting distance to Columbia SC.
What you will do in this role:
- Serves as Project Manager working on priorities and timeframes of projects; plans work and schedule for projects; coordinates interaction between interrelated project teams; reviews and assesses progress of projects and activities and takes corrective action where necessary.
- Ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to customer requirements.
- Assists Agency management and project stakeholders in information technology planning.
- Clarifies expectations and defines requirements. Directs the work activities and priorities of team leaders, architects, consultants, analysts, and technicians engaged in design, procurement, testing, and implementation of projects and activities.
- Serves as primary contact person for project stakeholders and contractors to resolve day-to-day issues, process change requests, and manage schedules for SCDOR projects and activities. Escalates to management and project sponsors any issues, change requests, and schedule impacts.
- Coordinates with agency management and resources responsible for ongoing maintenance and support of components post-implementation as needed for knowledge transfer and for coordination with new implementation.
Education/Experience required:
- A Bachelor's degree in information technology systems, computer science, or related field and four (4) years of experience in information technology systems or related area; or an Associate's degree in information technology systems, computer science, or related field and six (6) years of experience in information technology systems or related area; or a High School diploma and eight (8) years of experience in information technology systems or related area.
