HIRING RANGE
Compensation will reflect qualifications, with a competitive salary range of $93,163-114,125 annually. Maximum Pay for this position is $135,086.

Requirements:ABOUT THE ROLE
The Operations Manager oversees Fixed Route and Demand-Response transit services, ensuring every route operates smoothly and on time. You’ll supervise dispatching, road supervisors, and fleet management, integrate safety protocols, and maintain ADA compliance—all while inspiring your team to deliver exceptional service. From managing contracts to addressing customer concerns, this role offers opportunities to guide operations and innovate for tomorrow’s challenges.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Transit Operations
- Manage daily system performance, identifying and implementing ways to improve service delivery.
- Oversee fleet maintenance and ensure all vehicles are safe, compliant, and customer-ready.
- Respond proactively to service interruptions, weather impacts, and unforeseen challenges.
Team Leadership
- Supervise Bus Operators, Road Supervisors, and Dispatch personnel while providing mentorship, feedback, and clear direction.
- Uphold operational policies consistently across the team, including appearance and conduct standards.
- Investigate complaints and administer corrective actions effectively and professionally.
Compliance and Coordination
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local transit regulations, including ADA requirements.
- Maintain accurate systems data (CleverCAD, APC, and more) for reporting purposes.
- Coordinate with other regional agencies to improve operations and align with best practices.
Other Key Responsibilities
- Assist during Emergency Operations Center (EOC) activations.
- Manage operations budgeting, including controlling overtime costs.
- Occasionally step in to provide driver coverage in emergency situations.
- Contribute to the development of innovative, data-driven solutions in transit planning and delivery.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in public transportation, including supervisory or managerial roles.
- Demonstrated success managing transit operations and overseeing performance data collection.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Understanding FTA/ADA compliance and safety regulations; certification through CTAA or APTA is a plus.
Preferred:
- Bilingual Spanish speaking ability.
- Four years of progressively responsible experience managing transit or transportation operations.
Special Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory motor vehicle record.
LOCATION & COMMITMENTS
Primary office located in Gypsum, CO.
Typical working hours are Monday through Friday, 78 AM to 4/5 PM
Salary : $93,163 - $114,125
