Position Summary:
The Director of Marketing and Communications is a visionary leader who will develop and execute comprehensive marketing and communications strategies that elevate the CORE: brand in New York City. This executive position reports directly to the C-suite and oversees all aspects of brand positioning, member communications, PR, partnerships, and digital marketing for the NYC club. The Director will lead a team of marketing professionals while collaborating with department heads to ensure that marketing initiatives support membership growth, member experience, and revenue objectives for the New York location.
The Specifics:
Strategic Leadership & Brand Stewardship
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and brand strategy for the NYC club that aligns with CORE:'s business objectives and 5-year growth plan
- Lead the evolution of the CORE: brand in New York, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints while innovating to stay relevant to UHNW audiences
- Create and manage annual marketing and communications budget for the New York location
- Provide mentorship and leadership to the NYC marketing and communications team, fostering a culture of creativity, excellence, and accountability
- Serve as a key member of the New York leadership team, contributing to location strategy and organizational decision-making
External Communications & PR
- Design and oversee implementation of a sophisticated PR strategy that positions CORE: NYC as the premier UHNW private members club
- Build and maintain relationships with New York-based top-tier media outlets, influencers, and industry leaders
- Oversee crisis communications strategy for the NYC location and serve as chief spokesperson when required
- Develop strategic messaging for major announcements, local initiatives, and the 20th anniversary milestone celebrations in New York
- Evaluate and select New York PR agencies/partners, ensuring alignment with the CORE: brand while maximizing local media opportunities
Member Communications & Engagement
- Create a comprehensive member communications framework that delivers exceptional value and strengthens community bonds
- Oversee development of communications that effectively convey CORE:'s unique value proposition to different member segments
- Lead the development of innovative digital and experiential touchpoints to enhance member engagement
- Establish metrics and feedback mechanisms to continuously improve member communications effectiveness
- Collaborate with the Membership team to develop targeted retention strategies and communications
Team Leadership & Development
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing New York marketing and communications team
- Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and performance metrics for team members
- Foster collaboration between marketing/communications and other NYC departments
- Identify skills gaps and create development plans to strengthen the team's capabilities
- Create an environment that encourages innovation, strategic thinking, and creative excellence
Programming & Content Strategy
- Oversee the development of a comprehensive content strategy that elevates CORE: NYC's brand positioning
- Establish strategic framework for evaluating and approving New York programming initiatives
- Ensure all content and programming reflects CORE:'s brand values and meets NYC member expectations
- Guide the integration of digital and physical experiences to create seamless member journeys
- Lead the strategic development of signature New York experiences for the 20th anniversary celebrations
Partnership & Alliance Development
- Design and implement a strategic partnership framework to identify and secure high-value New York-based collaborations
- Cultivate relationships with NYC luxury brands, cultural institutions, and thought leaders that enhance CORE:'s positioning
- Develop innovative co-branding opportunities that create unique value for New York members
- Leverage the Partner Club network to enhance NYC member benefits and experiences
- Create metrics to evaluate partnership ROI and member satisfaction within the New York membership
Data Analytics & Performance Optimization
- Establish comprehensive analytics framework to measure all marketing and communications initiatives
- Develop dashboards and reporting mechanisms to track KPIs and demonstrate ROI to leadership
- Utilize data insights to continuously optimize marketing strategies and resource allocation
- Lead market research initiatives to better understand member needs and competitive landscape
- Apply predictive analytics to identify emerging trends and opportunities
Digital Transformation
- Lead the ongoing evolution of CORE:'s digital ecosystem, including website, app, and digital communications
- Develop an integrated digital strategy that enhances member experience while supporting business objectives
- Oversee the implementation of cutting-edge digital tools and platforms
- Ensure a seamless omnichannel experience that reflects CORE:'s premium positioning

Experience and Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in marketing/communications, preferably in luxury hospitality or private clubs
- Demonstrated experience managing complex communication strategies

- Exceptional organizational skills & ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Strong writing and editing skills with an understanding of luxury brand voice

- Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce knowledge a strong plus)
