Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Correctional Mental Health Therapist to join our team at CoreCivic. As a mental health professional, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to offenders within our correctional facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive mental health screenings and assessments to identify inmates' needs and develop effective treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to address various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and trauma.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, progress, and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and facility staff to ensure seamless delivery of care.
- Ensure confidentiality and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related clinical field from an accredited institution.
- At least 5 years of clinical experience, including 2 years in a similar position, preferably in a correctional setting.
- State licensure or certification (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) is mandatory.
- A valid driver's license is preferred but not required.
