About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team in providing clinical mental health services to offenders. As a member of our mental health team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and setting the standard for excellence in corrections.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive mental health screenings and assessments based on available records and clinical interviews with inmates.
- Develop, implement, and modify individual treatment plans tailored to each client's needs and level of functioning.
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatment activities in the healthcare record for each client seen.
- Preserve confidentiality of sensitive information at all times.
- Demonstrate expertise in psychological counseling theory and techniques through the use of evidence-based treatments and activities.
- Provide timely and effective mental health assessments, counseling, and crisis interventions to address the needs of our clients.
Requirements
- A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related clinical field.
- A minimum of five years of clinical experience, including two years in a comparable position.
- Appropriate certification or licensure in the state where practice occurs.
- A valid driver's license is preferred unless required by contract or applicable statute.
