Summary
The Senior Director, Human Resources partners with company business leaders to deliver effective tactical HR solutions at facility locations. Works closely with the FSC Operations and Innovation management teams to manage employee-related issues within the department, business units and divisions. Assesses facility HR processes and ensures consistency in the implementation and execution of those processes across the division and company. Diagnoses the root cause of facility issues from an HR perspective and assists in developing effective solutions. Provides feedback to the FSC on program and process implementation and needs.
Essential Functions
The incumbent should be able to perform all of the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the job performance requirements.
Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field is required. Seven years of progressive Human Resources work experience is required. Five years in a supervisory role within Human Resources is preferred. PHR/SPHR and CP/SCP certification is preferred. Must have HR Generalist operating experience in a multi-state, service industry company with responsibility for 1000's of employees. Must be proficient in HR areas such as Recruiting and Selection, Employee Relations, Compensation and Benefits, Performance Management, HR systems, Equal Employment Opportunity, and Affirmative Action. Familiarity with government contracts and experience working with the OFCCP is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications is required.

Essential Functions
The incumbent should be able to perform all of the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the job performance requirements.
- Provides proactive Human Resources strategic support and consultative partnership with Human Resources and Operations leaders.
- Formulates policies and procedures relating to all phases of human resources activities. Manages the functioning, coordination and staffing of all human resources programs, policies and procedures (to include benefits, workers compensation, facility payroll support, recruiting and employee relations).
- Manages a team of Human Resources professionals who provide service as HR consultants, human capital problem solvers, supplemental and temporary HR labor, across the department. Supports compliance through the analysis of performance metrics, identification of trends identified through employee relations interactions as well as through audit performance. Serves to support interactions between FSC and field HR functions
- Reviews and makes recommendations to management for improvement to policies, processes, and practices.
- Develops solutions and process improvements. Collaborates with other departments to develop standards of practice.
- Provides support to the Human Resources management team for initiatives and plans that facilitate the attainment of objectives and overall human resources strategies.
- Acts as liaison to FSC Human Resources departments and ensures quality customer service for human resources programs.
- Ensures facility compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employee/employment related laws and regulations through the monitoring of audit results and corrective action plans.
- Provides employee relations guidance to management staff (disciplinary actions, employment termination, employee dispute resolution, performance improvement plans) and ensures disciplinary actions and terminations are in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, partner contracts, and company policies.
- Provides leadership and training to field HR staff in the management and processing of HR records and transactions and assists with handling more complex issues in accordance with policy and procedure. Provides feedback to facility management in evaluating the performance of HR staff.
- Directly supervises Human Resource Directors, determines work assignments, conducts routine and annual performance evaluations, and manages developmental plans. Oversees the utilization of HR, Generalist Field Support PRN utilization and assignment.
- Domestic U.S. travel is required.
