Schedule: This medical coding and medical billing position works during normal business hours.
Your Typical Day: As a Medical Biller - Medical Coder, your day kicks off with accurate billing for multiple offices and providers, ensuring seamless processing through AthenaOne and other billing software. You also maintain and update patient billing records, making sure every detail complies with healthcare regulations. Collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure precise coding, managing billing inquiries, and resolving issues are key parts of your role. You are also involved in analyzing billing processes for improvements, handling enrollment and credentialing tasks, and training staff on quality measures to ensure accurate coding.
The Minimum Requirements to be Considered:
- 3 years of experience in primary care billing
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Experience with AthenaOne
- Knowledge of quality measures in healthcare billing
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Highly self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Excellent communication skills
- IT savvy and capable of troubleshooting minor tech issues
