Step into the world of construction cost estimation as an Estimator Summer Intern and gain valuable experience working alongside seasoned professionals. This 6-8-week internship provides hands-on exposure to the bid preparation process, cost analysis, and quantity takeoffs, equipping you with a solid foundation in estimating practices for diverse construction projects.
As part of the program, you will complete a capstone project, where you’ll analyze a specific bid package or cost component from a real project, develop recommendations for cost efficiency or accuracy improvements, and present your findings to the team. This project will highlight your analytical skills and understanding of estimating principles while providing a tangible result to showcase your experience.

Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
- Strong interest in construction estimating and cost analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, or similar) is a plus.
- Ability to read drawings preferred, but not required
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a team environment.
- Availability to work full-time for the duration of the internship.
