GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES : Ideally this individual has a background in precast structural engineering, an out-going personality, and a can-do work ethic. This individual will use these skills to develop and maintain relationships, and assist owners, developers, contractors, architects, and engineers with the design development, budgeting, and scheduling of precast, prestressed concrete structure and building enclosure systems at various stages of development. They will perform product takeoffs, review estimates, and write pricing proposals so that Coreslab can be awarded future work. They will promote Coreslab and the precast industry, establish a high level of professionalism and ethics within Coreslab as well in the community, and perform related work as required or assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES :
develop and maintain customer relations
improve customer satisfaction
perform preliminary designs and framing plans
perform product panelizations and takeoffs
write proposals, project schedules, preliminary cash flows, etc.
coordinate and deliver precast finish samples
develop, review, and RFI precast specifications
establish and adjust selling prices
achieve financial objectives
influence marketing strategies
develop and perform marketing and sales presentations
maintain professional and technical knowledge
contribute to team effort
secure confidential and intellectual information
perform all occupational safety and hazard procedures in conjunction with all essential duties
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
Knowledge of :
precast, prestressed concrete structural systems, product limitations and preliminary designs to create framing plans and panelizations
our strengths and weaknesses, current project statuses, customer desires, etc.
competitors’ tendencies, strengths, weaknesses, pricing structure, current work volumes, etc.
comprehensive project progression
estimating processes, requirements, and durations
appropriate uses and capabilities of our products and services

WORK ENVIRONMENT : Employee may be exposed to :
moving mechanical / electrical parts and equipment
fumes or airborne particles

oils, chemicals and greases

heat / cold / wet conditions

PHYSICAL DEMANDS : While performing the duties of this classification, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, bend or twist; talk and hear, see and focus. The employee may lift and / or move heavy objects, up to and exceeding 50 pounds.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : Equivalent combination of experience, education and training which provides the desired knowledge, skills and abilities of this classification. Must complete and possess all required company training and certification before operating any machinery, equipment or tools. Must be able to work overtime on short notice, which could exceed 8 hours per shift and / or 40 hours per work week.
