Description of responsibilities - essential candidate qualities, preferences and skills:
- Manage and supervise Maintenance crew with preventive maintenance schedules.
- Keep Plant Superintendent up to date with equipment status.
- Review and maintain cost control and efficiency.
- Actively maintain positive attitude towards safety and housekeeping, and initiate action to produce result by following all company safety policies.
- Be an active member of the Safety Committee.
- Maintain inter-department coordination and high morale among all employees.
- Prepare and place parts orders through the company’s process.
- Performing mechanic work on machines and equipment.
- Tearing down and re-building equipment.
- Troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
- Working on forklifts, heavy equipment, and other various production equipment and machines.
- Troubleshooting and repairing various equipment to include (but not limited to): Cranes, Trucks, Forklifts, Loaders, Concrete Batch Plant, Welding Equipment, Pumps, Motors, Diesel Engines, Gas Engines, Air Tools, Electrical Tools, Air Brake Systems, Hydraulic Systems, Plumbing – Air, Water, Gas.
- Working with Electrical – 12 to 48 volt DC, 120, 208, 277, and 480 volt AC.
- Comply with OSHA safety and health standards.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, Industrial Mechanic, Maintenance Mechanic, or Maintenance Technician within a manufacturing facility.
- Mechanically inclined and have a strong desire to disassemble and assemble equipment.
- Familiar with OSHA standards.
· Experience working in an indoor and outdoor manufacturing environment.
- Experience in Electrical, Hydraulic, and Mechanical maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
· Bilingual.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to be very active and constantly requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
