SUMMARY:
- The Technical Sales Manager is a key member of the Heat and Control team, responsible for helping increase the sales/market activity for their assigned product line within their assigned territory thru proactive support of internal and external Sales/Applications team members, direct customer interface, and coordination with Engineering/Manufacturing teams
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Act as primary technical interface with Heat and Control Sales and AE teams for assigned product line(s) in assigned territory
- Develop and manage a results driven sales team
- Proactively promote product line capabilities throughout assigned sales team
- Develop growth strategy/targets for assigned product line (in conjunction with applicable Sales Manager(s) for each Regional Sales/Account Manager
- Coordinate all communication activities associated with product line development, introduction, release, and standardization
- Insure appropriate demonstration/trial equipment is readily available to properly promote product line in assigned territory
- Work with other internal teams (Accounting, Sales, Marketing, Applications, Project Management, Engineering, Service, etc.) to assist in coordination of commercial and technical details associated with promotion, demonstration, sale, and all deliverables for assigned product line(s) both pre-and post-sale
- Develop and help facilitate product line training for assigned product line(s); and in accordance with Corporate training guidelines
- Assist in process definition, development, and standardization (both as a lead and support role)
- Field travel as required to support customers, sales team, and overall product line growth/development
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of five years of Product Management, Technical Sales, or Engineering experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or five (5) years’ experience in a manufacturing/industrial industry
- Ability to develop and articulate concepts and solutions to customers
- Basic level of skill using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and CRM systems (AutoCAD experience a plus)
- Ability to communicate with cross-functional teams (internal and external) via various communication methods (written and verbal, in person and remotely)
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Ability to travel eighty (80) percent of time
