About the Role
The RN Cardiac Progressive Nurse at Corewell Health plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care, specializing in caring for patients recovering from cardiovascular procedures. With a patient-to-nurse ratio of 4-6, this nurse focuses on providing patient-family centered care, documenting educational interactions, and adhering to Corewell Health's policies.
This unit is a certified stroke center and chest pain unit, serving patients of all ages with a wide variety of complaints. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 4-5:1 on days and 5-6 patients on nights. We consistently have high patient satisfaction and quality scores and are a friendly progressive group of great nurses and techs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge patient care under the ANA scope of practice
- Provide quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader according to Corewell Health policies and procedures
- Document education and learning appropriately in health records
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Associates in Nursing or Bachelors in Nursing within 5 years
- MI Registered Nurse (RN)
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days
- AHA Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - within 1 year
- NIH Stroke Certification - NIHSS National Institute of Health Stroke Scale within 90 days
