What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Sales Agent position at Corewell Health?
This position is based in the field and requires a home office with the ability to travel through the state of Michigan. Weekends requirements as needed.
Professionally and effectively market, consult, and educate the advantages of Priority Health benefit plans to prospective members to achieve personal and corporate membership goals and objectives. All efforts will be done in accordance with Priority Health policies and procedures and CMS guidelines. Substantial knowledge of both individual and Medicare products and competition is required.
Essential Functions
Develop business for Individual Priority Health Products.
Generate new membership through direct sales efforts that include lunch and learn meetings, individual meetings, presentation and community sponsored events.
Have up to date working knowledge of CMS guidelines and commitment to work within prescribed guidelines.
Adequately prepare for and professionally deliver educational and sales presentations.
Facilitate the assistance of other internal departments such as enrollment, customer service, and others to service existing members in a customer service focused manner.
Develop ongoing understanding of competitive marketplace.
Develop a sales plan for assigned territory.
Complete business development projects as assigned by leadership.
Complete administrative functions
Screen enrollment forms for compliance with CMS requirements.
Attend and contribute to assigned meetings. Be an active participant by adding, when appropriate, credible research, knowledge and experience.
Employ time management skills to effectively manage all job responsibilities.
As requested, develop new markets for sales of Priority Medicare products.
Represent Priority Health at public events to increase exposure to potential members, members, employer, agents, business-related associates and the public.
Complete annual reports for manager and/or other departments such a self-performance appraisal, sales reports, and other reports.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience
Must be able to travel throughout the state of Michigan with reliable transportation
LIC Michigan Health & Life Insurance License, STATE MI State of Michigan.
Preferred
Medicare or experience with other government programs or managed care experience
