We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Care Coordinator to join our team at Corewell Health. As an essential member of our medical surgical unit, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care while ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare services.
About the Role:
This is a full-time position working night shifts, with 36 hours per week and every other weekend. You will be part of our dynamic Med-Surg team at Blodgett Hospital, providing expert nursing care to patients with complex medical diagnoses and surgical needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivering Evidence-Based Nursing Care:
You will provide comprehensive care to patients, collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure seamless continuity and coordination of care.
Patient Advocacy and Education:
You will advocate for patient privacy and education, empowering them to make informed decisions about their health.
Leadership and Professional Development:
You will assume autonomous leadership roles, delegating responsibilities to unlicensed assistive personnel and engaging in ongoing professional development to enhance nursing practice and improve patient outcomes.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Certifications and Education:
An Associate's Degree in Nursing or Bachelor's Degree of Science in Nursing (obtained within 5 years) is required, along with current State of Michigan RN licensure and Basic Life Support certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
Clinical area of specialty certification and 6 months of RN experience are preferred.
