The health system comprises three hospitals, an outpatient surgery center, a regional cancer center, rehabilitation centers, two long-term care residences, home care and hospice services, and 34 affiliate physician practice locations. Scope of Work
The Graduate Nurse plays a key role in the delivery of caring, competent patient care in conjunction with a mentoring Registered Nurse. The Graduate Nurse will perform assessments in an ongoing and systematic manner, formulate a goal-directed plan of care, and implement delegated interdependent and independent direct care activities based on skills learning and clinical training, assessment findings, and evaluation of any previous interventions.
Collaborates with mentoring RN on the nursing process, supporting documentation and other items as appropriate.
Responsibilities
- Perform assessments in an ongoing and systematic manner

Requirements
- Education: Associate's degree in Nursing or Bachelor's degree in Nursing within 5 years
- License/Certification: MI Registered Nurse (RN) within 60 days, NIH Stroke Certification - NIHSS National Institute of Health Stroke Scale CHS within 90 Days, AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days
- Experience: At least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed healthcare role
