What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor, Physical Security Team position at Corewell Health?
This position will operate 90% remote with the remaining 10% working onsite for projects, meetings or other obligations. In this role this individual will supervisor a team of 11 individuals, the team is made up of a strong diverse group of individuals as well. The Physical Security team supports all of west MI Spectrum and Lakeland. This is a close knit team with very strong relationships as they work with multiple teams throughout the system. Overall they help support security for the organization so that individuals can help focus on saving lives. Not only that, this team works very closely with local law enforcement as well as our in house security team.

Job Summary

Essential Functions
- Maintains oversight of the Physical Security Team-staff activity. Seeks input and provides consistent and timely feedback while remaining accessible and visible to staff. Assesses training and selects training tools for team members. Mentors Security Technology personnel to cultivate a work environment with high standards. Effectively utilizes each team member to his/her fullest potential. Motivates team to work together in the most efficient manner. Effectively utilizes team to meet project delivery deadlines.
- Minimizes exposure and risk on projects, ensures project documents are complete, current and stored appropriately. Effectively facilitates regularly status updates with project team, keeping project team well informed of changes within the organization and general corporate news.
- Provides reports, statistical and video requested by management and/or Director of Security.
- Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
- Reviews and/or oversees work order requests on all security related equipment to ensure sensitive areas are secured and work is completed in a timely manner.
- Assists Security Services leadership in prioritizing integration and new security technology needs.
- Oversees and assists with providing on-call Security technology support.
- Effectively communicates relevant project information to up-line.
Required:
- Required Associate's Degree or equivalent in Electronics Engineering Technology or related field
- Preferred Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- 5 years of experience typically gained through skills/knowledge/abilities in Security Management, Public Safety Technology or similar work environment
- 2 years of experience typically gained through skills/knowledge/abilities in the operation or administration of access control, video surveillance and other security technology software
- CRT-Physical Security Professional (PSP) - ASIS ASIS International
