- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the commercial and multifamily roofing sector.
- Build and maintain relationships with general contractors and developers to secure roofing contracts for new construction projects.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and bids to prospective clients.
- Account Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients throughout the sales and post-sales process.
- Develop and sustain long-term client relationships to promote repeat business and referrals.
- Ensure client satisfaction through consistent communication and addressing concerns efficiently.
- Sales and Budget Management:
- Manage sales pipelines, track leads, and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Provide accurate job costing and work closely with internal teams to ensure bids are aligned with profitability goals.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contract conditions with clients, ensuring adherence to company policies.
- Market Research and Competitive Analysis:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and regional market conditions to uncover new business opportunities.
- Provide insights into new roofing products, technologies, and materials that may benefit clients.
- Compliance and Safety Awareness:
- Communicate safety regulations and local building codes to clients.
- Ensure that all client agreements comply with industry standards and legal requirements.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Keep detailed records of client communications, sales activities, and contracts in CRM.
- Prepare regular sales reports for management review, outlining progress toward sales targets and account updates.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, Construction, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in commercial roofing, multifamily roofing, or construction sales.
- Knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and sales processes.
- Proven record of success in sales and account management within the construction or roofing industry.
- Sales and Negotiation Skills: Strong sales skills with the ability to close deals and manage key client accounts.
- Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of commercial and multifamily roofing systems and construction terminology.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- Customer Focus: Ability to build strong client relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to address client needs and resolve issues.
- CRM Software: Experience with CRM systems for tracking leads, sales activities, and performance.
- Roofing or construction-related certifications are a plus
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client meetings and job sites as needed.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Flexibility to work extended hours when necessary to meet sales targets.
- Willingness to travel to develop client relationships and secure new business opportunities.
