Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Landscape Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of construction processes and be adept at analyzing project specifications, preparing cost estimates, and managing contracts. This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.
Duties
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive bids for Landscape projects.
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather necessary data for estimating.
- Utilize construction estimating software such as Bluebeam to create detailed estimates and reports.
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms.
- Provide support in project management by tracking progress, identifying potential issues, and recommending solutions.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to each project.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Landscape construction estimating or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction site operations, contract management, and price analysis.
- Familiarity with construction management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using estimating software, particularly Bluebeam or similar tools.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate cost control.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory.
