Responsibilities
- Assist the head chef in preparing and cooking menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Supervise kitchen staff during food preparation and cooking processes to ensure efficiency and adherence to safety protocols.
- Manage inventory by tracking stock levels, placing orders, and ensuring proper storage of ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including equipment, utensils, and workstations.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes based on guest feedback.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards at all times.
- Provide support during service hours, including plating dishes and assisting with expediting orders.
- Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
Skills
