We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Human Resources Generalist to oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes. As a member of the HR team, you will be responsible for managing activities such as point of contact for Human Resources related questions, recruitment, employee relations, project management, Human Resources policies and procedures and functional expertise. The HR Generalist is also expected to champion the company culture and ensure compliance with employment regulations and compliance.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm Onsite
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day HR support, including compliance with employment laws, employee relations, and benefits administration. Manage the administration of workers' compensation claims, ensuring timely reporting and coordination with insurance carriers and legal teams. Collaborate with other departments when necessary to ensure smooth HR procedures.
- Handle employee relations issues, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and performance management. Advise clients on HR best practices to maintain positive employee engagement.
- Ensure client HR processes comply with all federal, state, and local employment laws. Conduct audits of HR records, including workers' comp claims, LOA documentation, and benefits administration records.
- Partner with the Leave of absence administrator regarding the leave of absence process, ensuring compliance with FMLA, ADA, and other applicable regulations. Work with LOA administrator to track employee leaves, process necessary paperwork, and ensure timely communication with employees and managers
- Manage the recruitment and selection process to attract, recruit, and retain top talent.
- Support current and future business needs through development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
- Assist management with ensuring timecards are accurate and to meet deadlines. Work with the finance team to process payroll in a timely fashion.
- Assist in auditing and ensuring all deductions and earnings are correct for the pay period.
- Manage employee payroll claims in a timely manner in collaboration with the Finance team.
- Provide administrative support to the HR department as needed.
Qualifications:
- BS/MS degree in Human Resources or related field.

Experience You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or 5 years or more in similar role (generalist experience preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience in recruitment or HR support role.
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
- Experience with structured deadlines and calendar management
- Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics.
- In-depth knowledge of Federal, state, and local labor laws and HR best practices.
- Familiarity with HRIS, Workday preferred, and ATS (Applicant Tracking System) software.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, Teams.
