Eastridge Workforce Solutions is seeking a HR Generalist for our client in San Diego, CA. This is an opportunity to work with the HR Director to support HR operations and benefits administration for a prestigious law firm with 150 employees.

Salary: $30 - $33 per hour

What You’ll Do:
This role covers for an HR Generalist on maternity leave and requires a detail-oriented, organized professional who can confidently interact with attorneys and staff in a formal, professional work environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of HR experience, including benefits reconciliation, employee engagement, workers’ compensation documentation, and recruitment for support staff roles.
Benefits Administration:
- Audit, reconcile, and process monthly benefit premium invoices.
- Act as the Benefits System Administrator, ensuring accurate employee enrollments and vendor file feeds.
- Support payroll administration to ensure proper benefit deductions.
- Conduct new hire benefits orientation and manage the enrollment process.
- Assist in coordinating the annual Benefits Open Enrollment.
- Administer workers' compensation claims and documentation.
- Coordinate with benefits and leave vendors for smooth processing.
- Guide departing employees through COBRA enrollment and benefits eligibility.
General HR Responsibilities:
- Act as a point of contact for employees, handling inquiries on benefits, policies, and HR processes.
- Coordinate recruitment for support staff roles and facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation.
- Assist with performance review processes, ensuring completion of written reviews.
- Maintain and update HR systems and personnel files (electronic and confidential records).
- Execute HR reporting and audits, including benefits census, employee activity, and compliance requirements.
- Support employee engagement and cultural events, contributing to a positive workplace environment.
- Conduct minor employee relations tasks, including exit interviews.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, HR policies, and regulatory changes.
- Provide training on benefits, policies, and compliance topics.
What We’re Looking For:
- 3 years of HR experience in benefits administration, onboarding, employee engagement, and compliance.
- Experience with workers' compensation documentation and leave administration.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HRIS systems.
