Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Specialty Inspectors provide the vital link between our company and our clients through exceptional customer service. They spend their day traveling to appointments and meeting with customers to assess pest problems in and around their homes, apartments, offices, and workplaces and executing specialized treatment plans. They will also recommend corrective actions to prevent future problems. Overall, our Inspectors spend the day helping other people in the community by solving their pest challenges, building long-term relationships with those on their route, and protecting our customers’ homes and businesses.
- Abide by structural pest control board, state regulations of Agriculture and Consumer Services, and O.S.H.A.
- Conduct thorough inspections of residential and/or commercial buildings to determine wood destroying organism infestations. This includes escrow inspections.
- Completion of required documentation and forms at the end of the day.
- Contact customer and follow up on leads after inspections are done.
- Maintain clean and orderly assigned company vehicle, and equipment.
- Collaborate with Team on monthly goals and assist with positive culture building.
- Climbing ladders of various heights with safety equipment and materials.
- Operating power tools to apply materials to job specifications.
- Filling out field sheets to be turned into reports.
- Able to safely traverse rooftops and tight spaces alike.
- Use modern technology to communicate with customers and coworkers.
- Work in a team environment with a positive attitude.
- Following directive from leadership to accomplish company goals.
- Maintaining punctuality with the ability to work within a given appointment time frame.
- Ability to operate company vehicles.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- The ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
- Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule (typical hours range between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. with occasional exceptions)
- Availability to work some Saturdays.
- High school degree or equivalent
Required Skills
- Hold a CA Branch 3 Field Representative license.
- Technical proficiency with computers, smart phones, etc.
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Solid attention to detail
- Comply with all company, local, state, and federal laws & regulations.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to follow directions and work independently in a team effort.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to safely move about customer locations, ascend/descend stairs, and ladders to service out of the way areas, and position self to conduct service under/around furniture, equipment, and tight spaces.
- Ability to work outdoors in all regular seasonal weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and maneuver.
- Ability to withstand various weather and temperature conditions.
