We are looking for a full-time Ophthalmic Technician for our practice. The ideal technician would be dependable and energetic with a positive attitude and a passion for caring for others. Ophthalmology experience is a plus!

Candidate must be willing to travel to our locations in North Fort Worth, North Arlington, and Plano. We are looking for individuals that want a stable career. This is a great career building opportunity for aspiring individuals.

Job responsibilities

  • During clinic, perform patient work-up including the 12-points eye exam
  • Scribe for doctor, if needed
  • Perform ophthalmic testing (vision, manual refraction, pressure)
  • Maintaining, calibrating, cleaning and sterilizing ophthalmic equipment
  • Monitor inventory of supplies and restock as necessary
  • Properly operate common non-automated and automated ophthalmic equipment
  • Ensure quality of care and safety of patients
  • Properly assist physically and visually impaired patients
  • Assist in administrative duties
  • Opening the clinic prior to patient workup
  • Work up patients within the required timeframe
  • Accept other duties assigned

Qualified applicants will exhibit the following:

  • At least 1 year in Cornea/Cataract is a plus, willing to train the right candidate.
  • NextGen EMR Experience
  • Proficient in computer skills: Word, Outlook, can work PC/mouse
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Loyalty: We are looking to hire a long-term employee
  • Flexibility to work at multiple clinic
  • Requires flexibility of hours; may be required to work overtime

Compensation and Benefits: Competitive salary; based on experience
