In support of this goal, we are looking for a Help Desk Technician to join our team in Seattle, Washington.
What does the Help Desk Technician do?
The Help Desk Technician is responsible for the monitoring and triage of the helpdesk for CorneaGen. This includes our various physical locations as well as remote employees, supporting networking, hardware, and various Microsoft based software. They also oversee the creation, shipment, and synchronization of user accounts and physical hardware. As a member of the infrastructure team, they will also be exposed to, and assisting with, various networking and security projects and initiatives.
What else should I know about this role?
This is a full-time, hourly role reporting to our Director of IT Infrastructure. This position works a hybrid schedule with at least one day in-person at the downtown Seattle office, with the remaining days available to work at home/remotely. The position also participates in our on-call rotation, 1 week out of every 5.
What are you looking for in the ideal candidate?
To be successful as a Help Desk Technician, the ideal candidate should:
Have completed their high school diploma; preference will be given to candidates that have completed their Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
Experience in Microsoft based support roles is preferred.
Communicate effectively and efficiently with individuals at all levels within the organization.
Demonstrate the ability to be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized.
Be interested in learning and expanding their portfolio of knowledge on a small IT team.
Be able to context switch quickly and effectively between various needs and issues, as well as successfully understand priorities amongst various issues.
Maintain a professional demeanor, confidentiality, and a positive attitude.
What compensation and benefits do you offer?The minimum wage for this position is $26.00 hourly and the maximum wage is $28.00 hourly. Individual compensation will vary within this range based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience as they relate to the requirements for this position.
