Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Jefferson County is seeking a skilled Staff Development Educator Parttime to join our team. This position will serve as an After-School Program Educator, providing comprehensive 4-H youth development opportunities for youth in grades K-8.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as an educator and mentor to program participants, providing guidance and direction during after-school activities.
- Assist collaborating teachers during the academic study portion of the program.
- Utilize established program resources and materials to deliver innovative educational programs.
- Communicate with school personnel to foster intentional instruction and address the needs and interests of participating youth.
- Implement program evaluation as designed by the Outside Evaluator and New York State Education Department (NYSED).
Requirements
- Associates Degree or equivalent education.
- Valid NYS Drivers License and ability to meet travel requirements associated with this position.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and/or weekends, as appropriate.
- Familiarity with subject matter appropriate to area of programming (4-H Youth Development).
