Cornell Pump Company is seeking a Production Planner to join our growing team! In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring smooth production operations by coordinating schedules, materials, and workflows to meet demand. You’ll work closely with Sales, Engineering, and Warehouse teams to keep everything running efficiently while identifying opportunities for process improvements.
This is a full-time, onsite position based in Clackamas, OR, with a schedule of 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM. The salary range is $65,000 - $80,000 DOE.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
As the Production Planner, you will be responsible for the flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments of manufacturing, and the scheduling of production operations by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Evaluate job orders, product specifications, and inventory levels to establish efficient allocation of materials, machines, and workflow sequencing.
- Coordinate with production personnel to resolve scheduling conflicts and optimize operations.
- Develop work procedures, prepare schedules, and expedite workflow to meet production deadlines.
- Collaborate with Sales to accommodate schedule changes and ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Generate and maintain purchasing buy lists to support procurement activities.
- Issue clear written and oral instructions to production staff.
- Assign duties and inspect work for accuracy, organization, and adherence to policies.
- Standardize procedures to improve efficiency and reduce production bottlenecks.
- Support cycle counting efforts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Identify and implement cost-saving or profit-improvement initiatives.
- Work with Engineering to analyze and manage excess and inactive inventory.
- Address receiving issues and process miscellaneous purchase orders.
- Maintain electronic inventory records for consignment warehouse locations.
- Assist Production Planning and Warehouse teams in executing operational responsibilities.
- Prepare composite reports from various production and inventory data sources.
- Serve as a backup for the Master Scheduler as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
American Production & Inventory Control Society (APICS) certification is preferred.
