At Corner Canyon, we are dedicated to creating an individualized treatment plan that focuses on the clients' physical, mental & spiritual needs. Our team of licensed mental health professionals work collaboratively to prioritize the emotional well-being of the client while incorporating clinically sophisticated psychiatric and medical care.
Corner Canyon is searching for a Medical Director licensed in the State of Utah to provide medical care for clients in our Residential, Day Treatment, and Intensive Outpatient programs.
Responsibilities
- Review potential clients' admission applications for appropriate placement within the organization.
- Review and update policies to meet Joint Commission standards and needs of clients.
- Assess and treat patients with a wide variety of behavioral health issues.
- Patient evaluations : incorporate clinical history, psychological testing, ID genetic tests and findings into an integrative treatment plan and produce a final report (using EHR).
- Manage and supervise all lab testing being prescribed.
- Supervise medical and psychiatric staff.
- Follow up appointments / med management appointments completed on a weekly basis for clients in Residential Treatment and Day Treatment. Monthly follow up appointments / med management appointments for clients in Intensive Outpatient.
- Remain current with emerging psychiatric, pharmaceutical, brain imaging, and nutraceutical knowledge.
- Attend Weekly Medical and Treatment Team meetings.
- Serve as primary advisor to the executive, case management and clinical management regarding health and safety issues.
- Coordinate with chefs for nutritional integration of treatment.
- Participate as a cooperative, responsive, respectful and responsible member of the agency’s clinical management team and other work-related committees.
- Manage and supervise all Rx medications and supplements being prescribed.
