About The Smith
The Smith is an extremely popular casual neighborhood brasserie – in fact, several of our locations are among the Top 100 busiest restaurants in the US! The menu features bistro classics, seasonal fare, and craft cocktails. Our signature lively atmosphere makes The Smith a versatile setting for an after-work bite, drinks on the town, a birthday bash, a working lunch, a bountiful brunch, or an I-don’t-want-to-cook-tonight night.
The Position : Prep Cook
- Assist in the preparation of dishes by prepping ingredients to The Smith’s recipe specifications.
- Prepare items by chopping vegetables, making salads, and putting together entrees
- Store food in designated areas to prevent spoilage and make sure the food temperature is appropriate.
- Cut and portion different types of food from the menu and follow the recipe carefully.
- Make stock soups to be used during the cooking process.
- Portion food and prepare dishes for plating.
- Package to-go meals for guests.
- Keep track of ingredients to ensure there is always enough for service.
