Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Analyst to provide essential transaction deal support for our investment banking team. This role involves direct engagement with investment bankers, attorneys, private equity firms, accountants, and business owners, assisting in the execution of M&A transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in finance, accounting, or investment analysis, with a keen interest in M&A and investment banking.
This is a growth-focused role with a clear pathway to becoming an M&A advisor, where successful candidates will receive mentorship, training, and increasing levels of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
As an Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting deal execution and client management through:
1. Financial & Market Analysis
- Assist in preparing and updating financial models and valuation analyses.
- Conduct industry research and market analysis to support deal negotiations and presentations.
- Analyze and summarize due diligence materials, identifying key financial and operational trends.
2. Transaction Execution & Documentation
- Develop and refine Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs) and executive summaries for client transactions.
- Construct detailed buyer lists using databases, search tools, and direct outreach.
- Coordinate and track confidentiality agreements, ensuring proper execution and documentation.
- Work closely with investment bankers, legal teams, and clients to manage transaction documentation, including purchase agreements and due diligence materials.
3. Deal Sourcing & Relationship Management
- Conduct outreach campaigns to potential buyers and investors, managing email communications and follow-ups.
- Maintain and update CRM systems with current client and counterparty information.
- Support business development efforts by preparing marketing content, industry reports, and quarterly updates.
4. General Support & Process Improvement
- Assist senior advisors in managing transaction timelines, deliverables, and meeting preparations.
- Identify opportunities to improve internal processes and workflow efficiencies.
- Implement AI-driven solutions to streamline data analysis, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance decision-making processes.
- Provide administrative and operational support as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related business field.
- 3 years of experience in finance, accounting, investment banking, private equity, or related fields.
- CFA, CPA, or other advanced designation is preferred but not required.
- Strong financial acumen, with experience analyzing P&L statements, balance sheets, and valuation models.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; experience with DealCloud and Hubspot is a plus.
- Ability to work in an entrepreneurial, small company environment under demanding time schedules
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A self-starter mindset, comfortable working independently and in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment.
