What are the responsibilities and job description for the Unified Comm Tech position at Cornerstone Capital Bank, SSB?
The UC Technician is a member of the IT support team providing Tier I and Tier II level support for software and hardware. This team member ensures proper functionality of the UCaaS and hardware systems. This person creates and follows policies to support the organization’s IT and voice needs.
What You'll Do:
- Implement IP Telephony (VoIP) solutions for team members
- Assist in on-going daily maintenance and support functions to ensure uninterrupted telephony connectivity for team members
- Update all assigned tickets daily in the ticket notes
- Provide great customer service to team members through attitude and communication.
- Work with engineering teams to review current issues to ensure successful support of new solutions and platforms through means of documentation and training.
- Support pre-production and production deployment, configuration, testing while ensuring best practices are followed and recommendations communicated
- Order phones and ship/receive faulty hardware
What You'll Need to be Successful:
- VoIP and/or Ring Central, and MS Teams experience preferred
- TCP/IP, General network theory
- Has awareness of cloud services / solutions
- Awareness of service level agreements
- Working knowledge of different types of cabling and connectivity
- Experience utilizing remote control software to troubleshoot and resolve desktop issues
- Inventory control and asset management
- Knowledge of routers and switches
- Ability to work within all levels of the organization
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-moving environment
- Possession of high school diploma or GED. Two (2) years’ experience working in technology VoIP implementation and telephony support experience, or completion of MCSE, CCNA or CCNP
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines
- Sitting for extended periods of time
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and to handle other computer components
- Ability to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings
- Ability to lift 30-40 lbs. This job will require picking up and moving equipment
- Ability to travel to branch locations as needed
