Responsibilities

- Oversee patient admissions, discharges, and transfers while ensuring accurate medical records are maintained.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Ensure compliance with sterile processing standards and hospital policies.
- Facilitate effective communication among team members regarding patient status and care needs.
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care post-hospitalization.
- Provide guidance and support to nursing staff, including training on best practices in hospital medicine.
- Utilize the Epic system for documentation and tracking of patient information.
Requirements
- Current nursing license in good standing.
- Previous experience in an acute care setting, preferably within a teaching hospital environment.
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing standards and procedures.
- Familiarity with medical records management systems, particularly Epic.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
