Function
Adolescents become learners who:

- Guide the learner.

- Establish and nurture a long-term relationship of mutual trust and collaboration.
- Learning mentor serves the same learner(s) during their entire CCALL high school experience. o Deeply knows, accepts, and respects learner’s passions/goals/interests.
Advocates for learner by:
- Providing moral, emotional, and academic encouragement and guidance. o Identifying and addressing learner’s academic needs through:
- Instructional support.
- May find and/or serve as tutor.
- May assist with organization and planning.
- Nurturing the learner’s giftedness, passion, agency, and self-sufficiency.
Facilitates consistent, on-going, honest communication with the:
- Learner.
- Learner’s family.
- Mentor Team.
- Colleagues associated with the learner.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Preferred Qualifications
- WA State Teacher’s Certification with math endorsement -or- in process/working toward receiving.
