Position Overview
LAWA is recruiting a candidate to fill the Airport Operational Readiness (AOR) Logistics and Move/ Mobilization Support. The successful candidate will manage and oversee the logistics, move & mobilization, planning, developing, coordination, and scheduling of all operational readiness activities for a variety of LAWAs CIP projects and its stakeholders.
Description of Duties
Manages & produces deliverables to support and define the Operational Readiness Activation & Transition (ORAT) and other related activities.
Common tasks & deliverables may include Concept of Operations, Stakeholder Outreach, Technical Reports, Training Plans, Transition Plans, Workshops, Presentations, etc.
Works collaboratively with multiple stakeholder groups to define the current state of operations; determine the future state of operations and the ambitions/opportunities offered by new facilities; diagnose any existing shortfalls and how these can be addressed; create plans for training of staff for new facilities/technologies; implement the ORAT process, evaluate potential impacts of new processes/technologies and how best to minimize them through varying tools and techniques.
Essential Job Duties
- Manage and coordinate the move and mobilization activities in collaboration with all team members, stakeholders and relevant agencies.
- Manage space logistics and change initiatives, which include driving process improvements across LAWA projects and stakeholders.
- Effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication.
- Manage stakeholder communications and collaboration.
- Participate in and support planning of the Airport Operational Readiness (AOR) Program.
- Review the design and specifications of facilities and systems and assess trial requirements for all systems, equipment, processes, facilities, and stakeholders for select CIP projects.
- Assist in the development of a comprehensive Trials Program to ensure the systems/equipment, facilities and stakeholders are assessed for operational readiness of new facilities.
- Assist in developing Trial Scripts for orientation and familiarization training courses that cover generic facility spaces, functions and systems and individual stakeholder requirements.
- Oversee/develop trial scripts and ensure alignment of these by applicable system or function.
- Develop a Trial staff/resource plan, per project.
- Propose and follow-up on recruitment and training of the Trial staff.
- Support the sourcing and contracting of Trial service providers and volunteers.
- Assist in defining/aligning operational performance/acceptance levels of Trials with the applicable stakeholders.
- Work closely with the AOR Subject Matter Experts on the execution of trials.
- Submits weekly Trial efforts and status reports to the AOR Manager.
Professional Experience Level/Other Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in architecture, Engineering, Planning, or related technical fields.
- 5 years or more of experience in an airport operational setting is required.
- Experience in change management and optimization of project management processes.
- Comprehensive knowledge of industry practices for airport systems.
- Possess technical skills in project management, aviation operations, documentation, communications, and/or operational or technology testing.
- Proven leadership and management capability is required.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.

- A minimum of five (5) years experience at level within a similar role.
- Proven ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.

- Fluent in written and spoken English.

Salary Range: $76,960 to $97,760 YR
