Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains full familiarity with plans, specifications, construction schedules, and contractor's plans on assigned contracts, the Project Management Plan, and current safety regulations to be knowledgeable of the project team (i.e., WMATA, consultants, and multiple contractors) responsibilities;
- Monitor daily activities and report on job progress of pre-procurement, procurement, pre-construction, design support, and construction activities;
- Coordinate scopes of work and work packages, assist in the preparation of construction schedules, and prepare supporting correspondence for WMATA’s Task Manager’s approval;
- Coordinate with relevant WMATA stakeholders;
- Assist with preparation of project status reports to identify progress and monitor the project schedule, budget, and staffing plan;
- Assist WMATA with financial reporting and documentation tasks; and
- Perform other project-related duties as assigned by WMATA’s Task Manager.
Background and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, finance, construction management, or related field preferred; in lieu of a degree, a minimum of seven (7) years of work experience in a related field, of which two (2) years shall be in the transit industry;
- Five (5) years of experience in project management and/or construction management. A minimum of two (2) years in the transit industry is preferred;
- Demonstrated experience of coordination of large projects with complex schedules and budget; and
- Experience with Microsoft 365® and Procore.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with WMATA standard processes and procedures
- PMP Certification
Salary Range: $58,000 to $82,000
