Summary
Cornerstone Court is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Temporary Activities Director to cover a short-term leave and ensure the continued delivery of meaningful, engaging, and enriching programs for our residents. This position is ideal for someone with a background in recreational programming or senior care who can quickly step in, connect with residents, and maintain a thriving activities program. We anticipate this assignment to last 4-6 weeks beginning April 28th, 2025.
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead daily activities that support resident engagement, including games, crafts, and music.
- Encourage resident participation and adapt activities based on interests and abilities.
- Collaborate with caregiving staff to support residents with special needs, including those with memory impairments.
- Monitor inventory and prepare materials for activities and events.
- Maintain documentation of attendance and participation as required.
Requirements
- Experience working in a senior living, healthcare, or recreational setting.
- Previous experience leading group activities or events; assisted living or memory care experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly, work independently, and maintain a positive, resident-focused attitude.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and be on feet for extended periods.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
