Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals for the positions of AMFT (Associate Marriage and Family Therapist), ASW (Associate Social Worker), or APCC (Associate Professional Clinical Counselor). In these roles, you will provide essential mental health services to individuals and families, focusing on promoting emotional well-being and supporting clients through various challenges. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to diverse populations. This position will also include social assessments for individuals with developmental disabilities and autism.
Duties
- Conduct assessments to identify client needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as behavioral therapy and psychotherapy.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies to support clients in acute distress.
- Collaborate with other professionals to coordinate care for clients with complex needs, including those with addiction issues or mental health disorders.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with ethical standards and regulations.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance clinical skills and stay updated on best practices in the field.
- Advocate for clients’ needs within the community and facilitate access to additional resources as necessary.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Current registration as AMFT, ASW, or APCC in accordance with state regulations.
- Experience or training in behavioral health, mental health counseling, or addiction counseling is preferred.
- Strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to manage challenging situations effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a compassionate approach to client interactions.
- Bilingual preferred.
- Some travel required (In Madera and Mariposa Counties-approximately 25% with mileage reimbursement).
