Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef with a strong background in catering to oversee food preparation, kitchen operations, and team management for high-volume events. The ideal candidate will ensure quality food production, manage kitchen staff, and work closely with event coordinators to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise kitchen staff and ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Create staff schedule, keeping the schedule posted a minimum of 2 weeks in advance.
- Assist in menu planning and prepare high-quality dishes for catering events.
- Manage inventory, place orders, and maintain food safety standards.
- Ensure timely preparation and delivery of food for events.
- Monitor food quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Train and develop kitchen staff.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of kitchen experience, preferably in catering.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred.
- Strong leadership, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
