What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Receptionist position at Cornerstone Pediatrics Clinics, PA?
Summary of Duties: Provides professional customer service by making and scheduling patient appointments. Responsible for obtaining and verifying necessary demographic and insurance information. Follows opening and closing procedures according to clinic guidelines. Answer phone and assist patients with appointment scheduling or transferring to appropriate staff. Collects all co-pays, deductibles and balances, as required by clinic policies. Scans registration forms, demographic forms, HIPAA Acknowledgement forms, etc. to patient record. Conducts confirmation calls to patients to remind them of appointments. Accurately completes and maintains patient visit records, files and documents. Proves out at closing showing the day’s total receipts; matches the day’s transactions and completes collection log. Assist other staff and in training of new staff and externs. Communicates with physicians, clinic, medical and office staff, patients and families any appointment issues or patient relations issues impacting clinic activity to ensure continuity of care. Attends clinical meetings as scheduled. Requires working on occasional Saturday mornings, based on rotation schedule.
