CornerStone Professional Placement is seeking a Senior Accountant for a 1 year contract opportunity with a reputable hospital organization in Fort Worth, TX. This role offers the chance to contribute to critical financial operations while working within a dynamic healthcare environment. As a Senior Accountant, you will manage key accounting functions, including preparing journal entries, performing reconciliations, maintaining balance sheets, generating financial reports, assisting with audits, and overseeing month-end/year-end close processes. This is an exciting opportunity to join a major healthcare system in a highly visible role within the accounting department.
Qualifications & Key Responsibilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university (degree will be verified upon offer)
- At least 5 years of experience in Accounting or Finance in a corporate environment. 5 years of accounting experience for a major hospital is preferred.
- Proficiency in complex accounting processes, journal entries, General Ledger, reconciliations, balance sheets, financial reporting, month-end close, and audits.
- Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is a plus, but not required.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent communication skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with an ERP
- Collaborate with team members to ensure financial data accuracy.
- Candidates must be willing and able to show proof of or obtain their TDaP, Flu, Hep B, Varicella, and MMR vaccines
Position Details:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Pay Range: $30-45/hr ( /- based on experience)
- Contract Duration: 1 Year
