Under the general supervision of the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Associate is responsible for day-to-day employee relations at the Hermon facility, including performance, conduct, attendance management, conflict resolution, onboarding, and benefits administration. This role requires First Aid certification and involvement in addressing employee accidents and injuries. The HR Associate will also collaborate with the Safety Officer on workers' comp claims and other safety-related matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary onsite resource for employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, timecards, time off, and other HR matters.
- Collaborate with the Production Manager to address performance, conduct, and attendance issues.
- Assist the Recruiting Associate with onsite interviews, new hire placement, and onboarding.
- Support employee engagement activities, including event coordination and survey facilitation.
- Provide basic First Aid care for employees with minor injuries and support care for more serious injuries.
- Work with the Safety Officer on active Workers' Compensation claims.
- Assist Production Manager and Leads in proactively addressing employee performance.
- Partner with HR Director or HR Generalist Manager during employee separations.
- Keep personnel files updated and ensure all HR-related matters are documented accurately.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform general administrative tasks and support the HR team as needed.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant HR experience.
- Proficiency with modern office equipment and procedures.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, and prioritize effectively.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- First Aid certification and the ability to provide basic care.
