General Functions: Cornerstone Services, Inc. is a leading social service agency in Will, Kankakee, and Cook Counties in Illinois. The agency’s mission is to help individuals live and work in the community. The Mental Health Day Program Intake Specialist/Counselor serves as an integral member of the behavioral health team, delivering high quality evidence-based mental health services. In this role, you will provide intakes, assessments, treatment planning, outpatient individual and group counseling, case management and crisis intervention to individuals ages 18 and older in our Compass program, an outpatient mental health treatment day program.
Specific Functions: Include coordinating the screening and admission process for potential Compass participants; completing mental health assessments and treatment plans; facilitating psychoeducational, therapy, and skill building groups. You will also maintain a small caseload of individual clients by providing therapy, case management, and crisis intervention services. Clinical supervision and clinical team meetings are provided weekly. Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or a related field and/or a license to practice counseling services in Illinois.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications
- Driving record and auto insurance in accordance with agency policy (travel is not required for this position)
- Bilingual skills a plus
A post offer physical and criminal background check required. Reliable transportation required. EOE.
