We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at Cornerstone Speech Therapy. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our speech therapy clinic by managing administrative tasks, supporting insurance verification processes, and maintaining clear communication with doctors’ offices and patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Insurance Verification & Authorization: Verify patients’ insurance coverage and eligibility for services, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Scheduling: Coordinate and manage appointments for therapists and patients, optimizing clinic schedules for efficiency.
- Patient Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, answering inquiries, confirming appointments, and providing necessary forms or instructions.
- Doctor Communication: Facilitate communication with referring physician offices to obtain prescriptions, referrals, and other necessary documentation.
- Billing Support: Collaborate with billing staff to ensure accurate coding and submission of insurance claims.
- Data Entry & Records Management: Maintain and update patient files, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Office Support: Open the clinic and set it up for the day. Assist with general administrative tasks, such as managing office supplies, preparing documents, and supporting the clinic's daily operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma.
- 1 years of experience in a medical or therapy office setting (preferred but not required).
- Strong understanding of insurance verification and prior authorization processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong grammar and spelling skills
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Work Schedule:
- Part-time position: 20-25 hours per week (Tuesday - Friday beginning at 7:45 each morning)
Compensation:Starting Pay: $17–$22 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
