Job Opportunity : Administrative Office Assistant
Location : Dallas, TX
Pay : $18.24 / hour
Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM
Job Description :
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities :
Answer phone calls, direct them to the appropriate department, or take messages.
Greet and assist visitors, ensuring they are directed to the correct person or department.
Organize and schedule meetings, appointments, and office events.
Handle mail, packages, and deliveries, ensuring proper distribution.
File and organize physical and digital documents for easy accessibility.
Input, update, and maintain office records, databases, and spreadsheets.
Manage office supplies and place orders as needed.
Perform clerical tasks such as copying, faxing, and scanning documents.
Respond to emails, inquiries, and requests from clients, customers, and team members.
Assist with customer service tasks, such as scheduling and resolving issues.
Maintain a clean and organized office environment.
Assist in setting up workspaces for new employees and organizing office layouts.
Prepare, proofread, and format documents, presentations, and reports.
Ensure all documents comply with department policies and filing procedures.
Perform additional duties that contribute to office efficiency as assigned.
Work under strict time constraints and in high-pressure situations.
Operate both independently and collaboratively with limited supervision.
Adhere to County, department, and AgriLife Extension policies, procedures, and safety rules.
Qualifications :
HS Diploma or GED required
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Previous administrative or clerical experience is preferred.
