Job Opportunity: Legislative Bill Analyst
Pay: $25/hour
Location: Downtown Dallas (Note: must pay for own parking)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Hybrid, 25 hours per week)
Position Overview: Seeking a Legislative Bill Analyst to support the City Attorney’s Office of Dallas in tracking legislation during the 89th legislative session.
Key Responsibilities:

Review legislation filed in both the Texas House and Texas Senate throughout the session.

Categorize legislation impacting the office for tracking purposes.

Summarize and review tracked legislation at the direction of the state legislative director.

Monitor and report updates on tracked bills to the state legislative director.

Maintain tracked legislation data using the Telicon system.
Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED

Detail-oriented and highly organized.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Familiarity with legislative processes or experience in a similar role is a plus.
